Hotpoint PTAC units are designed for easy installation—simply remove the old unit and slide in the new. As an owner/operator, you can optimize comfort and efficiency with temperature limiting options across four ranges. Hotpoint's Intuitive Display allows seamless customization of settings via the user-friendly control panel, featuring soft touch pads for adjusting temperature, mode, and fan speed. Indicator lights and an LCD display show current settings in either °F or °C.
In case of power failure, Hotpoint PTAC units feature Auto Power Recovery to restart in the previous mode, ensuring uninterrupted operation. They also provide Freeze and Frost Protection, with a sensor on the indoor coil managing compressor operation until coils warm up, maintaining continuous fan operation. A nine-point diagnostic code system simplifies service needs identification.
Additional standard features include remote thermostat capability, central desk control capability, removable filters for easy maintenance, and a tangential fan for quiet and smooth airflow. The Hotpoint AH12E15D5B PTAC unit includes a 30 amp, 208/230 volt power cord, with new installations requiring a grille and wall sleeve—though existing components may suffice. It operates as a cooling unit with electric back-up heat, delivering a cooling capacity of 14,500 BTUs and boasting a 9.7 EER rating. The 30 amp power cord ensures 5.0 kW of electric back-up heat.
