To ensure serviceability, Hotpoint PTAC units are equipped with a nine-point diagnostic code system for quick identification of any service needs. In case of power outages, the Auto Power Recovery function restarts the unit in its previous mode upon power restoration. Additionally, Freeze and Frost Protection safeguards your unit by monitoring coil temperature, pausing compressor operation until coils warm to prevent damage, with the fan continuing to run during this time.
Standard features include remote thermostat capability, centralized desk control, easily removable filters for maintenance, and a tangential fan for quiet and efficient airflow. The AH12H15D5B Hotpoint PTAC unit includes a 30 amp, 208/230 volt power cord, and while new installations require a grille and wall sleeve, existing ones may already be suitable. It operates as a cooling unit with a reverse cycle heat pump and electric back-up heat, providing a cooling capacity of 14,700 BTUs and 13,500 BTUs from the heat pump, achieving a 9.7 EER rating and 3.0 COP. The 30 amp power cord supports 5.0 kW of electric back-up heat.
