Hotpoint PTAC units are designed for easy installation—simply remove the existing unit and slide in the new one! Each Hotpoint PTAC unit includes a 20 amp, 208/230 volt power cord, and for new installations, a grille and wall sleeve are necessary. However, if you're replacing an existing PTAC unit, your current grille and sleeve may still be suitable. As an owner/operator, you have the flexibility to set temperature limits, choosing from four ranges to maximize comfort and efficiency. Hotpoint's Intuitive Display allows both owners and guests to effortlessly customize settings using the user-friendly control panel. The control panel features soft touch pads for adjusting temperature, mode, and fan speed, complemented by indicator lights and an LCD display that can show temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
During power outages, the Auto Power Recovery feature ensures continuity by restarting the PTAC unit in its previous mode. Hotpoint PTAC units also include Freeze and Frost Protection, which actively monitor coil temperatures. When necessary, a sensor on the indoor coil will pause the compressor until optimal conditions return, while the fan continues to run. For ease of maintenance and service, each unit is equipped with a nine-point diagnostic code system.
Additional standard features of Hotpoint PTAC units include remote thermostat capability, central desk control capability, removable filters for simplified upkeep, and a tangential fan designed for quiet operation and smooth airflow.
The AH12H07D3B model is equipped with a cooling unit featuring a heat pump and electric back-up heat. It offers a cooling capacity of 7,200 BTUs, a reverse cycle heat pump with 6,000 BTUs, and boasts an 11.9 EER rating and 3.4 COP. The 20 amp power cord provides 3.5 kW of electric back-up heat capacity.
This model is compliant with California and Washington requirements. For new installations, ensure you have a rear grille and wall sleeve to properly accommodate the unit.
